A World Of Greens
When green is in your brand name, you know it's going to be the main color of your brand, but how do you define so many flavors using a single color palette?
You create a world of greens!
Green Mountain Coffee has its roots in the green mountains of Vermont, so they were looking for a style that showcased the beautiful vistas and the simple country life. Using watercolor as my medium, I developed a flat folk art style that used scale to create a deep vista landscape. Starting with a sky color to set the mood as the most background layer, then a distant layer of mountains, a middle layer of fields or trees, ending with a foreground layer to frame the whole image. This was the formula for each package that gave the client the flexibility of moving the layers and objects to reformat the illustration for their different package shapes.
